All unsere Erlebnisse nachlesen könnt ihr hier.

For all the fellows, that are not from our home country, but still want to know what our current world travel is all about:

Time for an update. We’ve been away for 1 year and 4 days, from 26th of May 2018 to 30th of May 2019. Here comes a short summary about our worldtravel:

From the beginning of our studies, we were sure that there is a longer time abroad to follow. We thought a lot about how to create this year or more. Through many discussions about different continents, hiking, biking and so on, we ended up with this adventure:

Without plane to Australia

During the planning of our project, we decided pretty fast, that we want to do slow travelling. This had to follow, that we want to try not to fly. Starting from West Europe, we chose East Europe, Asia and Australia as our destinations.

On May 26th, 2018 we started over Warszawa and Riga to the biggest country – Russia. The Transsiberian Railway brought us to Mongolia and then China. Through Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia we slapped through to the southern border of Asia. In mid of November we wanted to cross the sea to Australia. The adventurous Sailing-Part unfortunately didn’t work out. Until then this part of the travel was a big question mark in our plans. Why we chose to take a flight to Australia in the end, what we learned through the first half year of our travels and what we decided for our future is written down in this blog article (it is in German, but you might translate it somehow 😉 ).

After we worked in Australia for 5 weeks to refresh the savings, we toured the continent with our car. Afterwards we cycled through New Zealand for 2 months and enjoyed the fresh air. Our last 4 weeks we spent in North America, mostly in California and New York with a short family-visit in South Ontario (Canada). Our last flight went to Paris, from there we hitchhiked back home and arrived happy and healthy at our families.

We hoped for a lot of great nature experiences in extraordinary landscapes, acquaintances to the local population and other travelers and an awesome, relaxed time together. We did want to make the most out of the year, that we took off. After the travel being finished now, we can say: All in all we are very happy. But our love of adventure is not satisfied yet, so we hope to get another chance to live it out at some point. All our experiences can be read (in german) here.

What is happening now?

The circumnavigation is done, and we arrived well back home. In the moment we are settling in again, and at the same point our to do list is pretty long after coming back. The last blog articles are on the list as well, so we are going to finish our travelogues of the year in the next weeks! 🙂

We are pleased about everyone, who followed our travels and say thank you for all the lovely comments and the support!
And still we are happy about everyone, we hear from 🙂
